Lab Supervisor
Empire Comfort Systems is searching for a highly motivated, goal oriented individual to lead our Design Engineering lab activities and staff. This individual will be responsible for assigning work and developing lab technician’s skills. This person must be knowledgeable gas combustion, Millivolt and low voltage gas control systems, gravity vented and vent-less gas fired heating systems and outdoor cooking appliances. This person must also have a working knowledge of the ANSI standards for Vented Wall Heaters and Vent-less Heaters, Outdoor Gas Appliances and Outdoor Cooking Appliances. The ideal candidate will possess 10 plus years of progressive practical experience in developing and testing gas fired products or hold a related technical or engineering degree with three plus years of experience working in a related gas combustion lab. Managerial experience is a plus; however, the individual must show leadership skills and be willing to develop their managerial competency. Organizational skills, problem solving and good oral / written communication are a must.
